While the Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation's mission is "To promote the highest quality of education in the Springdale Schools by supporting the teaching process, providing additional educational resources, and engaging a broad base of community support", its focus is twofold in nature. First SPSEF supports the teaching process by attracting private and philanthropic funds to expand educational programs that fall outside the Springdale Public Schools normal operating budget. In its first payroll deduction campaign the Foundation raised more than $20,000. These funds were subsequently disbursed through a competitive grant process to fund 22 innovative classroom and school-wide grants that promote student achievement.

SPSEF also works with donors to create scholarships that will help Springdale students attend college. This past year, SPSEF awarded $22,000 17 deserving graduates. The Foundation currently has nearly $450,000 invested in its scholarship funds.
